A note from the Treasurer:
Hi all! Ballard Solidarity came about when local neighbors decided we needed to prioritize building community with each other in the aftermath of the 2024 Presidential Election.
Our funding comes entirely from community members who live, work, and volunteer on this shared land we call home. All organizing labor is currently done on a volunteer basis.
Donations that go beyond our expenses will go towards setting up a Ballard Solidarity Fund to support mutual prosperity efforts, socializing groups, working groups, and mutual aid distributions (see Vision Statement).
Your contributions keep us going.
Current Expenses:
– Printer Ink
– Printer Paper (especially colored paper)
– Venue Rentals
– Plates, utensils, cups, and napkins
– Containers for transporting and donating leftovers
Financially, we’re not a 501(c)(3) – we’re a group of organizers with an EIN and a BECU account. Ballard Solidarity relies solely on Ballard neighbors’ financial support for funding. Donations are extremely appreciated, albeit not tax deductible.
If you’d like 10% of your contribution to go towards an organizer, please indicate so at checkout.
Thanks again!
